Sojitz Corporation operates as a general trading company. It offers automotive parts and components; supply chain management; and auto-financing services, as well as internet and digital technologies. The company also provides aircraft leasing/part-out; engineering, procurement, and construction; cargo transport infrastructure; sales representation for commercial/defense; business jet; airport management; railcar maintenance, repair, and overhaul; energy management, system integration, software development, and cloud and managed; and daycare and after-school care management services. In addition, it engages in the medical infrastructure, surface mounter sales, and plant project; new building, secondhand ships, ship chartering, and ship equipment and owning; and tuna and vegetable farming, confectionery, bakery, and grain port businesses. Further, the company constructs, operates, and generates solar, wind, biomass, and gas fired power; LNG plant; LNG receiving and regasification terminals, as well as constructs network for telecommunication carriers; and data centers. Additionally, it mines and smelts coal, and rare and non-ferrous metals; prints 3D metal; and offers exfoliated vermiculite. The company also trades in ferrous materials, thermal coal, non-ferrous and precious metals, and industrial minerals and steel production materials; methanol, plastic resins, industrial salts, C5 and petroleum resins, and rare earths; livestock feed raw materials; industrial machinery and bearings; and carbon products. In addition, it refines sugar; produces and sells fertilizers, feed, woodchip, and meat products; retail foods; invests in and manages shopping centers; distributes building materials, brand and consumer goods, and still products; sells textiles; mills flour; develops industrial park, condominiums, offices, shopping centers, and urban infrastructure; and offers communications and IT equipment. The company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
